We all aware that life isn't black and white, and BDSM isn't an exception.Also we all aware of the three famous roles in BDSM; top, bottom, and switch. But this is a very naive way to look at things. top is a big category that has levels, just like bottom. is anyone familiar with the term “alpha male” ? well, there is alpha Queen Domme as well as alpha subs who are under her but in the same time they are on top of a lower bottom, and things go that way, until we reach the lowest bottom. Many times, a queen choices a group of bottoms whom where trained to be tops to help her.
I would like to think that most of people are switch but in different levels. It's very rare to find a person with one way road. I'm proud to had the chance to know few.
In the same time I was shocked by many of aggressive sadistic dommes who simply crave to get beaten or degraded from time to time. I can write some names if that helps. But who am I to judge them. Should they change their titles from dommes to switches ? What if she is a domme most of the time and has this little tiny need to get spanked once awhile?
It's ridiculous to judge them for what they want. But does this formula works for submissive men as well? Does a slave get to change his attitude once awhile without being accused that he is not a “real” slave?
I think it would makes things much easier if we spend more time talking about ourselves, elaborating in describing our needs, instead of shrinking it in one word. Be generous and express yourself more and more.

You raise some good points. Of course we want dominant women to be able to get ALL their needs filled and if we don't 'let them', so to speak, submit or bottom to one they feel the right chemistry with without any loss of respect or repercussions then we are essentially forcing them into boxes and depriving them of the full range of experience, which does seem counter to the idea of being dominant.
ReplyDeleteAlso, as a submissive with cuckold and other humiliation oriented fantasies I find the idea of being submissive to a woman who is also submissive to someone else to be hot, maybe extra hot, as that sort of makes me the "lowest of the low", the bottom of the food chain, so to speak. Plus I like the idea that she may be naked and do anything for her Master or Mistress and yet she is still off limits to the likes of me, that I am only a servant and toy for her.
A good question, though, is can sub males have similar "off times" from their usual role and still be considered "true" slaves? The answer should be yes but I think many in the scene would feel differently. On the other hand, as my partner often says, "a slave can do ANYthing, provided they have permission". So as long as they have the permission of their Master or Mistress to act dominant in a certain context, they are being true to their role and their relationship. Thanks for an interesting question.
